Another excellent article Laura. The statement about what happens when we free ourselves from the external definition of success really resonated with me. "Something remarkable happens when we free ourselves from these external definitions of success and prescribed life stages. The energy we once spent trying to fit into society's expectations becomes available for genuine exploration and expression." The older I get the more I am trying to focus on what I want, what makes me happy, and what gives me a sense of value and worth, instead of my perception of what others believe is best for me.
Your articles continue to provide me with strength, courage, and the self-confidence to allow myself to question, fail, and color outside the lines. Thank you.
Hi Lisa. I am so happy you are enjoying this Substack. At the end of each post, the Sunday 10:10 event I refer to is the publication of the latest newsletter article. I don't have any live events at this time. I have been thinking about adding something new and am excited you would be interested in something more! I will keep you posted. Cheers! Laura
I felt like I was reading an article about myself when I read about your fearless authenticity on an online newspaper, hence my subscription. I haven't received the remark from the guy at the restaurant, however, I have been to places where I met people I know, and I get, "You alone?" as if there is a law against going out alone. I have done a lot of analysis for a number of years and I have "been to myself" as the saying goes. I am not bothered by any person's negative comments about my choices in life as I venture to do what makes me happy and fulfilled, not other people. I also realize that people who comment on my choices, envy my courage and strength to pursue my life's journey on my terms, and not that of society.
I love your strength and your focus on you! Welcome to Fearless Authenticity. Thank you so much for your support. I am looking forward to meeting yousoon!

Very well said. Do you know how we connect to Laura’s Sunday morning 1010 meetings?

Thanks! Also, somewhere you mentioned that you took a writing class to help you discover your authentic voice. Can you recommend a particular teacher?
Oh, ok! Thank you. Do you offer personal coaching on finding the authentic voice?
Hi Lisa,
I don't offer personal coaching at this time. I took my class from Lynne Golodner. She is a fantastic writing teacher and coach. Here is her Substack link to get a sense of her style. https://open.substack.com/pub/lynnegolodnerauthor/p/maybe-its-my-intensity?r=258lu7&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
